Can an officer / police refuse to provide you with a copy of the breath test results?
Can an officer or authority to refuse to provide you with a copy results of the breath of your machine with the official time and date on it? I went to the department to try and get this when I pick up my incident report. She gave the incident, but told that I should speak with the officer to arrest a copy of the breath test results. I called and he told me clearly that he would not give me a let me copy or a copy of the court date, said I had no right to. I understand that I was entitled to this information / document on request, a lawyer even told me that I should have a copy when I was realeased from jail after booking. Is this a problem, certainly seems to me that I must be entitled to this information. They also have a book in the wrong time logged I'm at the station and mobile phone records to show that I used my phone well after the time they say I should have been recorded in a cell. Whats everyones take?
You are entitled to all copies of anything concerning your case. If you have no lawyer and yourself, you will come to more walls. Legally, you are entitled to police reports pertaing for yourself.
