The Potenza RE-11 is an Extreme Performance Summer tire designed for serious sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan drivers. The Potenza RE-11 is designed to provide traction mixing, handling and driving control with very good sound and comfort. The Potenza RE-11 is adapted to dry and wet conditions, but like all summer tires are not designed to be used in near freezing conditions, through snow or on ice.
The Potenza RE-11 is the first road Potenza tires to Bridgestone's Seamless 3D Stealth Technology previously released in the GP2 and Formula 1 racing tires together. The Potenza RE-11 has an asymmetric tread pattern combines good substantial independent outboard shoulder blocks locked with a toothed circumference mid rib lateral rigidity needed to improve steering response and improved traction in dry corners. Inboard, a continuous intermediate rib and shoulder notched ribs separated by wide, straight grooves provide water evacuation to aquaplaning and improve wet traction.
The band includes the internal structure of a specially designed asymmetric shape that support footprint to distribute pressure more evenly by maintaining the straighter outboard side of "fall down", while helping the more rounded edges inboard to resist "disappearance" during intense cornering. A few broad reinforced by steel bands spiral nylon offers durability, quality and uniform driving at high speeds.
