Explain the relationship between alcohol levels in blood and breath alcohol content.?

The legal definition of "under the influence" of alcohol based the blood alcohol levels. However, many police alcohol use breathalyzers to determine whether a person under the influence of alcohol.

Breathalyzers are legal in all 50 states. The difference is that they do not measure alcohol in the blood, but instead of "treasures" is based on scientifically accepted markers. No test is as accurate as a blood test. Urine tests are also used but are less accurate. Most states require the small field test units to be supported by the official test on a large breath analyzer back to the station. Theories abound as that can lead to confusion or a misreading of a breathalyser test. Acetone, paints, adhesives are some examples. Most breathalyzers "take" a 2100:1 ratio and breath alcohol. It successfully argued in court that these ratios may actually vary between 1700:1 and 2400:1. That's kind of a big deal, because the difference between the decision to make if you are legally impaired or not. If your blood alcohol level is proved (by what ever method permitted by law) be 08 or greater, that is fine as evidence dashboard. No other proof is needed. They do not even have to prove you were impaired beyond your capabilities. If, say, blow an, 065, you can still be convicted of DUI "as" it requires proof that you are impaired, such as a failed field sobriety test. But 08 or higher , has no other evidence under the law.
