Is it better to glue on hardwood floors or use padding apoxy or moisture barrier?

I will be installing hardwood floors to the living room (another I question the tiled kitchen adjacent / connected to permanent or not?) Installer wants to know whether he should use in cement and glue stick directly in this way, whether he initially disagreed suggest glue so it would be cheaper, but only lock the pieces I said no too. He is also saying padding is not necessary because the lower floor with no one below to hear footsteps. I told him my concern is not just about reducing noise, but also a barrier to the cement to the wooden floors to avoid absorption of moisture, so he suggested he could be a apoxy application (spray or whatever), as Dritech that will lead to a barrier. So much to get / Select. Any ideas on what to go with?? Thanks for your help!

All wood and contracts throughout the years. If you glue the wood directly on the floor just to expand or shrink well. Without doubt, the floor will eventually lift. If the warp and you will lift a great job on your hands and costly attempt to repair such damage have. The correct way to lay a wooden floor on a concrete foundation is focused on your sub floor (filling) of the first and place your timber on top of that. You must glue the interlocking pieces! You can fit flush with the wooden floor, above, below and to one side of the room, leaving a hole - or the last part - to fit on one side of the room to allow for extension in case. If the word fits tightly round, it can expand and lift. Leave it for a few months for the assembly of the final pieces around the edge. If you do so, you never had any problems. When I put the floor in my living room I was going to continue to run the kitchen, but I changed my mind for two reasons: 1. Kitchens are moist, sultry and moist so it is not an ideal place for wood. 2. Kitchens are messy places, how beautiful we are, things spill on the floor as fat, water, etc. People also bring in the dirt the backyard, so it is hard work to try to keep it clean, no matter how well sealed the floor. I am glad that I tiled my kitchen floor with a slight off white color (I think it's a light beige) that will go with any color in the future. The tiles are easy to clean and will last for life. Hope this helps you. PS. I would not let that guy lay your floor. Take your time and do justice. Get a good and experienced carpenter to do the job.
